epsxe different configuration

So I've gotten epsxe to run. But I don't have any options (file, edit, config, etc.) All I can do is click in the center of the window that pops up and it asks for a location of a rom. I point it there and it runs, but I can't configure anything. How do I do things like the video or sound plugins, or a game pad?

Help with flickering on OpenGL2 2.9

This is the first time that the emulator does this: --->

It does it on NASCAR Rumble as well as Ridge Racer Type 4, a little bit in Hot Wheels Turbo Racing, those are the only games that I've tested.

I already tried several configuration combinations and no one seems to work so far, tried to change plugin, but GPU Core 2.0.0 does not solve the issue.

Ok, I've got a strange one here. I just setup ePSXe 1.7 (the latest version gives me trouble) on my Windows 10 machine. I connected my PS4 controller to the computer via Bluetooth (I have gone into the gamepad config in Windows, and all the buttons are working properly).

First, I tried configuring the gamepad in ePSXe to my controller buttons. When I go into a game, some button will be continuously pressed (like I'm in a menu, and if I click the "exit" button, the menu opens right back up,...

Green borders in FF VII

I'm playing Final Fantasy VII with ePSXe 1.70 on my Windows 7 PC. I'm seeing green dashed borders around objects (mostly backgrounds) along with another dashed lines on battle messages. I tried fiddling with the in-game GPU configuration (the one you bring up by pressing Delete) so I can find the best configuration that will clear the lines immediately, but so far nothing clears those dashed lines yet. My video plugin settings is as follows:

ive used my xb1 controller to play guitar freaks but has anyone used a ps1 to usb adapter with an actual guitar freaks guitar to play it? i have the guitar but i want to know if i should get the adapter as well. also any good suggestions for ps1 to usb adapters?

I cannot get my memory card to work! I'm new to this, and I am playing FFIX. I tried it with Chrono Cross, and 3 Tomb Raider games. But as soon as I close ePSXe, it loses my saves.

I've never really had any issues running my ePSXe 1.7.0 up until now and if I had any issues they were always small things that I was able to diagnose myself without needing any additional assistance.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and have a Nvidia GTX 460 1GB. I'm using the proper bios, and use Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 to run my games. They've always run perfectly, but recently whenever I open an image or try to a run a game of any type, it immediately says "ePSXe has...

Enabling Sound Crashes ePSXe

I am trying to get my new Minix computer with Windows 10 working with ePSXe. The latest problem is that if I disable the sound completely, I can get the games working. However, if I switch to one of the sound plugins and enable it, once I launch the game and click F3 to load a save state, it immediately crashes, saying "ePSXe has stopped responding".

Anyone have any experience with this problem, or can suggest the most reliable sound plugin and settings that I can try? I've already played...

Exporting data from ePSXe 1.9.0 to 2.0.5

Good day.

I tried just moving the state/memcard files over to the 2.0.5 path but they're not detected and I keep getting error when reading the memcard files on any game.

Creating new memcard files from the 2.0.5 version also creates an error?

Any useful information would be appreciated!

ePSXe won't recongnise my External CD Drive

Hi, I have checked to see if this question has already been answered but I couldn't find anything so here's the situation.

I have recently bought an external CD drive case adapter and a internal 52x CD drive, so it's basically a normal external CD drive. Here's the problem:

My normal PC games read the drive fine but ePSXe doesn't run games off it. In fact, the only CDROM plugin that even recognises the drive is the CDR 1.5.2 WNT/W2K plugin that comes with the program. When I try to...

ePSXe 2.0.5 STARTUP CRASH/BLACK SCREEN FIX HERE

Alright, since this emulator isn't going to be updated anytime soon, might as well post a solution here.

There is a glitch where the emulator either crashes or hangs on a black screen on startup. This is because the cpu overcloking setting is not enabled by default because of an oversight.

Easy fix: set it to 1x and you are good

Pressing ESC makes ePSXe freeze.

As the title says. When I press ESC ePSXe freezes. I've tried versions 2.0.5 down to 1.7.0. I've tried using different resolution and different video plugs. I'm running Windows 10.

Anyone know why or how to fix this issue?

Turn off frame limiter doesn't work

I have a slight problem when playing any games from ePSXe because i used to be able to turn off the frame limiter so the game's loading screen will go faster but after downloading the latest ePSXe i just can not do that anymore, i tried changing the button mapping from 9 to Space but still i can't get it to work. And for the same reason my game is always locked in 60 FPS even though i enable and set the fps limiter to 120 in the menu (see picture)

Hi, will ePSXe for mac eventually get a GUI? Also will it support Metal? I know it sucks but openGL has been deprecated in macOS for a while in favor of Metal. Thanks.
