Hello, So I downloaded, configure and install ePSXe v2.0.5 with no problem at all. I played the game, use some codes, saves, memcard, etc smoothly and perfectly.

But then I reformatted my laptop, and suddenly the ePSXe won't work at all. Not even running the bios, the same exact configuration, etc. Just blank screen.

Considering I had reformatted this laptop before, and running ePSXe v2.0.5 again with no problem at all, I am so confused. But then, I notice something different. I named the...

Aspect ratio on fullscreen 1080p

Hi guys. i want to setup epsxe to use fullscreen at 1080p resolution but still keep the original psx aspect ratio. What should i do? i tried a lot of resolutions and stretching modes but sometimes i just get a full stretched image or a small image.
My settings are like this now and i get a 1080p image in 4:3 format, so is compressed on the sides.

What should i change to have the higher resolution possible and still keep the original aspect ratio of psx?

Hello, deareset members of this community :)

I decided to post a thread here for my problem after I stumbled upon it and found no presently, acurrately relevant post in search.

A few weeks ago I played Chrono Cross on my ePSXe 2.0 and all was brilliant. Today I sat to play fear effect 2 (in lue of the upcoming kickstarted game :) ) and all was not nice. The game image screen was displayed constantly off-center to the right and up with a portion missing. After digging through configurations...

DQ7 fix needed, please!

I have an issue with when a dialog box is up where the screen is smoothed out differently than when the box vanishes. It's a little distracting and annoying.

This is through the Pete's OpenGL2 GPU Core 2.0 which comes with ePSXe 2.0.5.

Any ideas?

Hi! i wanted to replay my favorite game Legend of legaia that i played about 6 year ago lol
but i have my normal screen + my tv with the pc and the sound switch to the yv so i have to mute the sound. i watch show and tv via my pc to the tv.

So what im asking would it be possible to add a device option to one of the sound plugin?
the emulator *PSX* has it and Pcsx2 has it to under direct sound but epsxe doesnt have it, downloaded all the sound plugin possible and none have it

Noise layer in epsxe in Linux

Hello, I recently started to run epsxe on linux but there is a "noise layer" that disturbs the game sound making into annoying to play anything. The noise is not continuous, it vanishes for a few seconds and them shows up again. What I can do to figure out what is wrong? The sound chip it is ALC662 rev1. PulseAudio is running. hd-audio0 is running. Any other information, just ask.

I tried the pec plugin into epsxe version 2.0, 2.0.2, 2.0.5 on windows 10, I always receive error loading gpupec.dll, but on version 1.9.0 the pec plugin is working.

WHAT'S HAPPEN?

Hi all,

I recently updated to the latest version of ePSXe after a long period of using a much outdated version (1.7.0 I think?) And afterwards I noticed I am no longer able to bind Directinput controllers with the included core gamepad plugin. With the automatic Xinput option my Xbox 360 controller works fine, but when I choose Directinput for my Directinput controller, ePSXe just would not read any inputs. I have ruled out the possibility of a faulty controller, since the controller I used...

Tomb Raider 1 Save Problem

Hi! I'm running Tomb Raider 1 on ePSXe, and for the most part it works fine (music doesn't work but that doesn't bother me) however the save crystals are missing! They are still there in a way, as I could use one of the ones I already knew was there, but it seems the image of the save crystal just doesn't appear. Since they do appear when I play the game on my PS2, I'm wondering what I can do to fix this problem as I haven't memorised where every save crystal is!!

SStates/Memcards not transferring from 1.8-2.0

Hi friends,

I'm playing through Legends of Legaia and jsut hit the Conkram glitch, which I heard can be solved by switching versions (Something about 1.8 doesn't work and it crashes in oen specific spot) So I downloaded 2.0 and copied over my save states and memcard, yet they do not show up.

Am I doing something wrong here? Is the file format different in this new version or something?

  1. Go into the memory card dialogue, then click browse on each one, type a name then hit open (also functions as save)
  2. Now go to File > Run Bios (This will create the memory card files,)
  3. Hit escape and set new memory card file names, and click Run > Continue
  4. Ok, now you have 2 sets of memory cards, and theres a good reason for this,
  5. When you load the state it will write the currently selected memory cards as blanks, which is where you've been going wrong basically.
  6. So...
