Window size in Fullscreen mode not loading

Hi, I just cant seem to get the settings correct. I have read through other posts, but without luck.

I am trying to load the game in its optimal frame size (guess it is 640x480) but with the emulator frame made full screen so it will have black borders around the game.

I thought this would be achieved by selecting "Windows Mode" with 640x480 and enabling "Use Windows size in Fullscreen mode (Widescreen fix)".

The current config is printed below.

Hope someone can point me to the config error...

Broken Menu Graphics on World's Scariest Police Chases

Well, the game plays the intro movies without a problem. But the main menu graphics are totally broken! I can press buttons and the sounds are there so the menu works, just not the graphics. If I press X a few times I can get into the game but I don't want to go into a play mode, blind, without knowing what it is!

Hi I started the plugin on p.e.o.p.s soft driver 1.18 aet on 60
but during the game I have 50 FPS? why

ePSXe 2.0.5 STARTUP CRASH/BLACK SCREEN FIX HERE

Alright, since this emulator isn't going to be updated anytime soon, might as well post a solution here.

There is a glitch where the emulator either crashes or hangs on a black screen on startup. This is because the cpu overcloking setting is not enabled by default because of an oversight.

Easy fix: set it to 1x and you are good

plugin that correctly plays PS1 start up audio?

I've tested my audio with numerous plug-ins, I downloaded a plug in pack and it seems only two can correctly play the startup without stutter/repeated clip looping towards the end when the game starts to load. But I have to turn off reverb and it ruins the audio quality. Anyone have their startup working with out frazzled audio?

Just curious, the last update was almost 2 years ago. I know it's closed source but I was wondering if the devs are still around or if 2.0.5 is the final version?

Alas I updated my epsxe from 1.7.x to 2.0.5 and I was silly enough not to document my settings for the video plugin. Now I have a very low end think pad and most games worked 100% with little to no frame rate issues but now I can get nothing to boot and I’m stuck with the dreaded black screen. Any help is appreciated!!

Custom bloom shader

Hi, this is my own attempt to create a bloom shader effect on epsxe emulator.



to use just download and unzip the attached file, then in epsxe config->video->configure
tick shader effects
choose shader type .slv/.slf
click on browse and find the folder path where you unzipped the attached file

Twin USB Joystick not work in ePSXe v2.0.5 Linux x64

Device is in lsusb: 0810:0001 Personal Communication Systems, Inc. Dual PSX Adaptor

When configure pad 1 and run the game, the output appear this:
Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Haswell Desktop
* Open gpu[0]
* Mapped /dev/input/js0 to Player1
* Mapped /dev/input/js1 to Player1
* Joystick init ok.
* Init core spu ... status 0
ok
And my device not work, this bug is related in other place for other users, but not solve in more years.
This possible enable force feedback (vibration) using...

Crash Team Racing: Rare Memory Card Glitch

What happens is that every one in a while, I'll try to save my game, but the game says the memory card is full, and then hangs there! I can get out of it by resetting the game but I hate losing my progress like this ! :(

Here I upload a file with:

1. A save-state located where the game hangs!
2. My game's memory card (which is empty except for the CTR save ! )

Hey guys I was just wondering if there is any sort of fix to the Chrono Cross text being morphed and deformed in this version as I really like how the game looks and runs on this video driver.

just in case these are my specs

Gameshark/Codebreaker/every other messes my xbox360 gamepad controls

When i use gameshark 5 or any other "cheat" iso my controls gets completely messed up, ex: arrows on gamepad becomes x,triangle,square.... in random way and vice versa, depends on which "cheat" iso i use, every one iso i tried does this but in different way.

And ALSO when i use epsxe built in cheats system(with codes and all) it also messes my controls but not that bad as gameshark iso does(its playable depends on game) Cheats works fine thought in every way.

Does anyone encounter this...

Disc read speed in ePSXe changed?

All official ps1 emulators on ps3, PSP, PS vita and ps2 have an option to change the read disc speed.
What this does exactly is unknown my best guess is that it forces the drive to read at 2x 300 kb/s speed at all times, when normally ps1 drive reads at 1x 150 kb/s, the ps1 drive can run at 2x speed but the condition for this are unknown to me, probably it's reserved for fmv playback.

Now changeing this option to fast does help load times in some games, one major example is resident evil 2...

I am trying to get epsxe working.
first I used my previous setup crashes and slow when accessing plugin menus
second used a new setup same problems so any ideas my last resort is to turning off DEP completely and teamviewer is not running
